 The UNLV Institue for Security Studies

The Institute for Security Studies seeks to expand knowledge in a number of fields associated with homeland security using the sophisticated expertise and educational resources available at UNLV. The Institute partners with government agencies and private entities to spearhead research, conduct training, and devise practical and cost-effective solutions to problems in the areas of security, disaster preparedness, and combating terrorism. Working hand-in-hand with UNLV’s academic departments, the ISS supports graduate-level education as well as security-related training with the goal of providing excellent professional development opportunities for those in the fields of crisis and emergency management.
